Most of the images in this gallery come from 1976-77, my first academic year in Jerusalem. A very few are from 1983-85, when I didn't even have a camera. That was a mistake I regret.

January 1977, on Mt. Scopus. That little thing in my hand was "the camera" responsible for a great many of the images in this gallery. Looking at these images today, I regret how poor the quality is. We thought we were being very clever by having one of the smallest cameras available at the time. We gave no thought to lens quality. Dear Joshua & Elisha: Don't make the same mistake.
