Dr. Sophie Fetthauer of the University of Hamburg is writing short biographies of musicians whose lives were affected during the Nazi era. She has unearthed a great deal of information during her research of both Hugo Chaim Adler and Eugene Adler.

Emma Dahl and Simon Adler, probably around 1900, when they were living in Harburg, Germany (more details below). [Composite from images shown below.) The synagogue of Harburg, at which Simon Adler would have served, was dedicated on 19 May 1863, and was at the intersection of Eissendorfer and Peterstrasse (currently called Knoopstrasse).
