Here you will find images of Marjorie and me from our 2006 trip to the Pacific Northwest. The accompanying images of landscape, without us at the center, can be found at my website, http://dhaimages.smugmug.com. Please feel free to visit to see more extensive shots from this trip. The narrative accompanying the photographs here are meant to remind us of the places we visited...perhaps someday to retrace our steps.

Our first long hike took us up to Ridgeline Ridge. The dirt road to the trailhead was about eleven miles long, with hairpin turns, deep ruts, and very steep sections. What a blast! It took almost an hour to get there due to the slow speeds. The ascension takes you through glorious old growth forest of hemlock and cedar.
