These images are taken at the Vitra Corporate Headquarters in Weil am Rhein. There was a devastating fire some years ago, so the company had to completely rebuild the campus. In doing so, it sought out young architects, most of whom would soon become famous (Gehry, Hadid, etc.). Vitra has the license to manufacture most of what we associate with 20th century Modern Furniture, including Nelson and Eames. There is a Museum of Design, but I wasn't permitted to take photographs there (it is inside a Frank Gehry building). However, the "store" itself serves as a museum of 20th century Modern furnishings. Here are some random shots taken on the various floors of the showrooms.
