The wide angle images make the tundra look as if it were green grass, but in fact, the ground is covered with an intricate tapestry of wildflowers, mosses, and an array of tiny plants not found anywhere other than at these altitudes.The delicateness is astounding, but impossible to describe as it compares to nothing else below the treeline.
