California Forests 2011.11
I had one day free during a trip to San Francisco for a conference. I rented a car and drove up to the Humboldt State Forest. Unfortunately, it rained the entire way up. When I got there, I walked through the forests (in the rain), basically having the place to myself (obviously, no one else was interested in a mid-week walk in the rain among the redwoods). Toward the end of the day, there were about 30 rain-free minutes, coinciding with the last half-hour of the day's light. I shot what I could. My standing in front of the trees was to give a sense of scale.
